Your words and experience have a "life" to them that no "sales page" description of the course ever could. Looking at the course through the filter of someone who has truly received, used, and benefited from it is incredibly valuable to me. I was just telling someone a few days ago that my intentions as a teacher and a coach are usually to "lovingly shove people off diving boards" -- so glad that was a positive thing for you and just what you needed. It really IS about getting YOU to jump in and embrace YOUR abilities... I totally agreed with you about the need for a quick reference section in the workbook -- the size of the book was limited by the publishers with no wiggle room. I wanted to have the reference charts in the context of the text, and then repeated in a place where they could be turned to quickly... but alas. What I DID do was create a digital e-book of the reference charts that you can download for free from the site and keep handy on your computer. The one-on-one personalized phone sessions are truly examples of the best "job" I've ever had -- it is a pleasure to talk to you -- you know I'm quite willing to chat forever! :-) I spent an entire year developing, planning, and practice-teaching this material, and then a solid three or four months writing and recording it all -- it was a big undertaking, I put a lot into it... Reading your review, I feel that the course accomplished everything I could have intended and more. Thank you! Lisa, Thank you too for your recommendations as well. You are always a blast to spend time with on the phone as well -- we can burn through some minutes, can we not? :-) I hope to meet you and Alex (and others) one day in person -- that will be real thrill. I'm happy to write reviews like this because it forces me to review the material and improve my understanding of it. I only "finished" going thru all the material in Slade's course this past weekend. Shhhh..... Love how sharp your website looks. It seems you've already got a handle on some of the things I'm working on - namely, an email list. I like that you keep your posts a short, manageable length! @Arun - keep in mind that there is a $200 discount if you enrol by tomorrow. Having taken the course myself, I find I agree with pretty much all you've said. There's a wealth of information to refer to and for someone really just stepping into this field, it's an amazing tool to have. I love the cd's and listen to them often as I drive to work just to pick up something I might have missed the first (or tenth!) time. But the biggest piece for me (as it was for you) was the time with Slade. Warm, intelligent, empathic and just funny as anything, Slade really is a wonderful mentor and teacher. All his courses, not just this one, pack a lot of wisdom and practical advice and I recommend them to others all the time. I would especially suggest the automatic writing lessons and the one on how to get in touch with your guides in Spirit. Reasonably priced for just about anyone's budget, they are wonderful introductions to this work.
